Although I’m super late to the Dressathon party, I’m really excited to share 3 dresses that I tested from Lil Luxe Collection. That’s right, I sewed 3 dresses in less than a week. It was a crazy week where the house simultaneously got new floors and completely trashed. It was all completely worth it. I think you’ll agree too.
Now for the first dress! This dress is aptly named Starlight City, it has some amazing details that really stand out. The unique collar really catches your eye but it’s the twist in the back that will take your breath away. This pattern was super easy to sew up with magnificent results. When I saw the designers dress I could not wait to try out some bold fabric prints. The top is by Rashida Coleman, and the skirt and collar are designed by Echino.
And now for the twist!
The next dress is a dreamy creation called the Modern Belle. It puts a modern spin on classic styles. The bubble sleeves and the pouffy side panels are so sweet and girly without losing their contemporary edge. The lines are clean and the construction is sturdy so you don’t have to worry when your little one decides to climb a tree.
I have been hoarding this Wee Wander print for ages just waiting for the right pattern to use it on. I’m so glad I waited for the Modern Belle as the front panel is great for showcasing the beautiful print.
B asks to wear this dress daily but I still need to find a button that is worthy. I had better find one soon before she grows out of the dress! I’d love any suggestions. Covered buttons?
The Socialite Peplum Dress brings the dressathon to a close. This is a fashion forward dress with eye-catching details. The bodice is made in panels and the flutter at the sleeves really draws attention to your little model. I chose to make mine with long sleeves and the bubble skirt.
All three dresses have sleeve options. Short sleeves or long for the colder weather that is hopefully coming to us in LA. The Modern Belle also has the adorable bubble sleeve option. The Socialite can also be a top with a cute peplum at the waist. While I am a fan of all 3 dresses, I’d have to say that the Starlight City is my favorite.
