It has felt like a long time since Georgianna of Sunday Girl Designs has released a pattern! The last dress I tested for her, the Lily Rose, won second place in a sewing contest hosted by my favorite local boutique fabric shop. So when she posted a tester call, I jumped at the chance to try out another of her fabulous designs.
Georgianna never cuts corners and adorns her dresses with delicate details that make her designs really stand out. Just check out the double ruffles, bias tape around the collar and arm holes, and sweet tabs on the front and back.
This darling jumper is simply oozing with Southern charm. Since we are nearing Fall and I need some warmer outfits for B, I tried my hand at corduroy. I’m so glad I did!
Whenever I sew from Georginanna’s tutorials, I feel that I grow as a seamstress. Her tutorials are detail oriented and create outfits that are beautiful on the inside and out. They are also super sturdy, which you would not guess from how dainty the designs look. From her I first learned how to use bias tape on clothing when I worked on the Odette. My first time creating a placket was with the Lily Rose. The Fauna will teach you how to create beautifully felled seams.
Check out the felled seams on the left and the right side of the photo. The seams were also perfect for the corduroy because it frayed so badly. This jumper turned out so sweet and lovely. I have a feeling she’ll be wearing it throughout the winter. Now I need to find a worthy blouse pattern to pair with it. Georgianna? 😉
For a limited time, Sunday Girl Designs is offering this pattern for $3! For all the work that she has put into the tutorial, this is a completely crazy deal. Head over to her ETSY shop now before the deal is gone!
